On September 8, Prof. Dr. Yu Wenjin, Vice President of Guangxi University, visited the Student Activity Center to inspect the registration and enrollment of new international students for the 2026-27 Academic Year.

At the registration site, Yu Wenjin listened carefully to the orientation briefing by the International Students Service and Management Center, and inquired in detail about the registration procedures, reception arrangements, and accommodation preparation. He commended the orderly progress of the registration work. He also visited the registration service desks of various schools to learn about the enrollment progress of new international students across different programs. He stressed that the university should further optimize the registration model, streamline procedures, and implement refined management, so as to continuously improve the level of service and support for international students.

While talking with new international students, Yu Wenjin cordially asked about their impressions upon arrival and their study plans, and encouraged them to cherish their learning opportunities and adapt to campus life as soon as possible. During the inspection, he also had a warm conversation with the international student volunteers, commending their dedication and selfless service.

On the same day, Yu Wenjin visited the international student dormitories to meet the new students. During the visits, he asked in detail about how the students were adapting to campus life, and encouraged them to engage actively in the new semester's studies, communicate more in Chinese in their daily study and life so as to quickly improve their Chinese proficiency, and lay a solid foundation for their future academic pursuits. The international students expressed their gratitude for the university's care, and said they would adapt to the new environment as soon as possible, study the Chinese language and culture diligently, and master professional knowledge and skills.

To date, a total of 448 new international students have registered at the university, while another 70 students have postponed their registration due to weather and other reasons.
